Mila felt lost in her sadness at having to move again, this time for her mother’s work. Her father promised her that it will be the last move, just one more new school to conquer. As she walked in the woods, she felt the heaviness of the moment settle on her young 15-year-old soul.
Then, she saw that the daisy, as the sun hit it just right. Her spirits rose at the sheer wonder and beauty of the flower, and a peace settled over her mind. She ruminated standing there, and she thought that like the flowers of the field, we, human beings, also can flourish and bloom in the most unexpected places. She wrote in her journal a poem to celebrate the priceless beauty of the daisy:
Your beauty short-lived.
A vision that soothes my mind.
I felt lost, now found!

The haibun is a very effective form for this. Nicely done!
