I had planned to see Bilbao, Spain by now,
For it is at the top of my bucket list.
But Covid keeps evolving and changing,
Turning a travel certainty into a wish.
So, now I live vicariously through snaps
From the cameras of much braver folks.
Frankly, I’m perplexed that the pandemic
Is still with us, after all the prayers I’ve invoked.
Yes, I would love to hear horns and violins
Being played by symphonies world wide.
That my bucket list will have to wait so more
Is something that I’ve learned to take in stride.

Yes, we’ve all had to learn to take the pandemic in our stride… one day we’ll travel again. In the meantime, we have our imaginations 🙂
