Travel Leaves an Indelible Imprint on the Heart: Fandango Flash Fiction Challenge #157

It felt as if time had stood still, and we were walking with the First Peoples

Among vibrant blue waters and green trees and mountains covered in white.

Inimitable creations that we should take pride in and work to conserve,

For once they are gone, it’ll be too late to find solutions to our plight.

So, I will travel now, so I can imprint this indelible beauty on my heart,

While still hoping for change in attitudes, so that generations to come

Can feast their eyes on such loveliness and feel the peace that it imparts,

But my hopes aren’t high, for on climate issues, people choose to remain dumb.

Written for the Fandango Flash Fiction Challenge #157. Fandango prompt is Indelible. Ragtag Daily Prompt is Vibrant. Word of the Day Challenge is Inimitable. The Daily Spur prompt is Pride.
