Better A Short Haircut than the Grave: Fandango’s Flash Fiction #217

His wife believed herself prescient,

Choosing a helmet for his head.

She’d rather see his long hair cropped,

Than to mourn him when he is dead.

While he opted to wear the helmet,

It makes him feel less than a man.

But as the cars rush past the bicycle lane,

He admits that her way is the better plan.
