I am retired from teaching, but another job I would have loved doing was a tour guide. I traveled with the all-woman touring company Women Traveling Together. Our tour guide was a very sensible woman who could keep up with so many people, answer their questions, soothe hurts, and still make every stop on the tour a good time.
To introduce people to the beauty and soul-enrichment of travel would be great. Traveling has so many benefits. You can’t remain prejudiced when you travel, because you come to see our similarities, rather than our differences. To get people to see everyone’s humanity would be the ultimate job.
