The Precious Gift of Giving and Receiving Love

True love, like quilting, requires patience,

As no two people can ever fully agree.

The giving and receiving of reciprocated love,

While precious, is still filled with mystery.

For a kiss that sends us quivering and shivering

Can only come from the mouth of a special one.

How can their touch mean so very much to us,

And leave us feeling a prize has been won?

We wouldn’t dream of quitting from their arms,

Too afraid of losing such a wonderfully sweet prize.

So, we thank the Lord for the presence of true love

And for the special one that makes us feel alive.
