A moment of calm in the this life’s storm,
Laughter serves as my soul-healing balm.
Jiving with my homies in our neighborhood,
Showing our trust in each other feels good.
We know that some people see us as thugs,
But the truth is that we also need love and hugs.
So, to give each other a moment of pure laughter
Is a gift that reveals that we, too, still matter.

I love this poem Regina. Everyone should matter. Everyone should be sharing laughter with friends openly. Thanks for joining in with this lovely poem.
